Jillaine

Jillaine is part of a family that my family is friends with. She is from the Dubuque ward, living in Utah right now for school. She is an amazing singer, such a unique voice, and she is currently in an online contest to win an hour of radio time performance and play for the opening of a smashburger restauraunt in Utah. Aunt Karen

This last week our Aunt Karen came to visit. She is one of my mom's older sisters. Sadly we did not take pictures, it slipped our minds. We were all caught up in the moment that nobody was really worried about pictures. Our aunt is extremely gifted at making jewelry. So any time we see her, you can count on us spending many many hours sitting at a table, beading and designing. And we all enjoy doing it. Even Oliver and my dad sat down and made a necklace or two. For Oliver, of course.
We do more than jewelry, but that is what takes up most of our time. She is a very fun person to be with, fun to hold conversations with and gives great advice. Having raised 4 sons and no daughters, she loves to come visit us and her other neices because even though she knows how to rough it out, she loves doing girl stuff - with girls.
It was a fun week that was very long, yet somehow flew by. Now Sally starts swim team with the high school team next week, I go shopping for a laptop for college, and registration for all the kids begins.
My how summer flies.
