Semesters

Today I took my last finals for highschool! Seniors don't have to take 2nd semester finals. I feel I did very very well. And that's the first in a long time! I don't have all of my grades, but the ones I did get were all A's. The only one I don't have I'm kind of nervous about, it was a difficult class and everybody hated it. Along with me. I hope I get a C, a B if I'm lucky.
I'm extra excited for this next semester. Partly because I don't have to take finals for it, but also I've heard a lot of really good things about my classes. I'll be taking (in order of class periods):
1. Government. I've heard this class is really really good. I'm looking forward to it.
2. Choir/Gym. I took this last semester as well. Gym on Mon/Wed, Choir on Tue/Thur/Fri.
3. Astronomy. I'll have the same teacher I had for last semester's genetics class I took, which was a lot of fun and very interesting. I'm hoping it turns out to be the same in this class. The teacher really enjoys what he teaches, which really helps make the class more fun. Plus, I've always had a huge interest in astronomy. I really wanted to be on as a kid, until I learned how much math was involved to do it as a career. Haha. So it'll just be a hobby on the side instead. :)
4. Intermediate Art 2d. I kind of wasn't wanting to take this because of the tedious work and senioritis, but I need the credit and it'll be a nice relaxing class for the middle of the day.
5. Orchestra. Love it, as always! I'll still be principle cellist and we'll be going on a trip to New York City this semester!
6. Free hour, I'll probably sit in the orchestra room or band room and do homework or play with a jazz combo of people who are also free that hour.
7. Contemporary Literature. I'm really looking forward to this class. The teacher for this class is my favorite teacher I've had all throughout highschool. So far he places 2nd in my list of favorite teachers ever. I've only had him for 1 semester. My 8th grade science teacher ranks 1st place right now. :P He loves what he does and makes everything a lot more interesting. Not to mention, I love literature, and this class has a lot of non-fiction reading (compared to stuff we did in World Lit last semester, like The Iliad and Antigone and The Inferno and 1984, which would very much be more on the fiction side). We'll be reading stuff written from 1945 through today. Should be very interesting.

Graduation is becoming more and more visible, I can really feel it coming, I'm so excited!!!!!
